Silent Season
Vancouver Island label started in 2007, making dub techno shaped by the rainforest around it.
Silent Season began in 2007 out of Jamie McCue's wandering through the forests of Vancouver Island, and the connection between deep ethereal music and those rainforests has stayed the label's organising idea.
The catalogue specialises in dub techno and ambient: deep, psychedelic, saturated with atmosphere. Releases come on limited edition vinyl, CD and digital, using recycled materials where possible. Resident Advisor made it label of the month in September 2012.
